Why donate? Chances are you have heard about the growing need for mental health services and the long wait some people face when seeking help. What do individuals who can’t possibly wait weeks or months for services, don’t have mental health insurance, or are under-insured (reached their maximum number of visits or can’t afford the co-pays) do? They turn to OFS. We offer counseling on a sliding fee scale ensuring no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay. Our counselors work very hard trying to see everyone seeking help, but we can’t keep up and now we also have a waitlist. Can you imagine you or your child being in crisis and having to wait? Currently our waitlist is 20 people; 18 of those are children. But you can help, proceeds from this year’s Gala and silent auction will be used to expand our mental health services including hiring an additional counselor.
