Our Parents as Teachers team was recently notified that they have been awarded “Model Affiliate” status. This status was earned after our PAT team submitted supporting documents and evidence to show that we have met or exceeded the PAT Essential Requirements as part of our 2017-2018 Performance Measures Report.
There are four dynamic components to the Parents as Teachers model:
• Personal Visits
• Group Connections
• Resource Network
• Child Screening
Together, these four components form a cohesive package of services with goals that include: increase knowledge of early childhood development, provide early detection of developmental delays and increase children’s school readiness and success.
